Confirmation Purpose Statement

The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the process of Christian Initiation.  It celebrates and acknowledges the presence and action of the Holy Spirit in our lives and the life of the Church.

 Saint John’s Youth Confirmation Program, following the model of Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (“RCIA”), works together with catechists, sponsors, families and the entire church community to assist the candidates in their desire to follow Christ as one of His disciples.

 We strive to equip the candidates to give witness to their faith in words and actions, defend and spread the faith, and discern God’s calling to use their gifts to live out their Christian vocation.
